Remaking Reproduction

Reshaping Families, Reshaping Identities by Katy Barbier-Greenland

I presented my paper Reshaping Families, Reshaping Identities on Thursday afternoon last week as part of the Reproductive Bodies and Identities stream at the Remaking Reproduction: Global Politics of Reproductive Technologies conference at Cambridge. What a fabulous conference - so many passionate and generous people there sharing cutting-edge, fascinating research.

Download the full conference brochure here and you can read more about the conference themes and purpose, as well as the Reproductive Sociology research institute, on the website. Please let me know if you'd like a copy of my talk!

Looking forward to presenting my paper Reshaping Families, Reshaping Identities in Cambridge in June for the Remaking Reproduction conference!

The full program is due to be released in early May - very exciting. I'll be there from Tuesday 26th to Saturday 30th inclusive, and have some meetings set up with a number of research centres as well. Looking forward to hearing some amazing presentations from Sarah Franklin, Marcia Inhorn, my principal supervisor Deb Dempsey and many others, and really excited slash nervous to share early findings from my PhD as well.

The focus of the conference is the rapid change and growth in reproductive technologies within the fertility industry around the world. The conference is shaping up to be a fantastic three days, with amazing keynote speakers and six fascinating streams. Full details available here.
